A note from Dr. Frisella:
Hello, my name is Dr. Anthony Frisella and I am a fellowship-trained orthopedic shoulder surgeon. What is an orthopedic surgeon? An orthopedic surgeon has completed 5 years of specialty training to perform surgery on bones, joints, and ligaments. Some surgeons choose to go on and do a "fellowship", or additional year of specialty training. I chose to do my fellowship in shoulder surgery, which I completed in 2007. Since then, I have been practicing orthopedic shoulder surgery in St. Charles County.
My philosophy is simple: treat problems as I would want my own problems treated. This may include non-surgical options such as injections and therapy, but also surgery. The most common surgeries that I perform: shoulder rotator cuff repairs, shoulder labral repairs, biceps tendon repairs, and shoulder replacement. I also treat broken bones.
